About 2048
2048 is a single-player sliding tile puzzle game created by Gabriele Cirulli and released in March 2014. The game is played on a 4×4 grid where tiles numbered in powers of 2 appear and can be slid using the arrow keys (or swipes). When two tiles with the same number collide while moving, they merge into a tile with their sum.
The goal is to create a tile with the value 2048, though players can continue after achieving that goal. The game ends when no moves are left. This free online version is built with Next.js for fast loading, full SEO support, and a great experience on any screen size — no installation required.
